Whenever I talk to someone for the first time since Will was born, one of their questions is inevitably so how is Caroline adjusting to Will?¬†Overall, she is doing amazingly well. She generally ignores Will (which is a lot better than her hitting him!), and when she does take an interest in him, she’s very loving. However, we’ve noticed a few changes in Caroline since becoming a big sister…

Caroline in her Bitty Baby Maggie’s crib

She’s been acting like a baby and taking a new interest in her baby toys…

Caroline in her cousin Emmett’s exersaucer

She’s discovering foreign things around the house, like breastfeeding essentials…

Caroline loves helping burp Will, and squeals with glee when we get a bubble out of his tummy…

She’s also great at showing Will the ropes of tummy time…

We’ve also noticed Caroline is performing more for attention from Mom and Dad. Here she is practicing her downward dog, which she knows we think is hilarious…

And showing off her skateboarding skills…

Mommy and Daddy have tried to make being a big sister special by implementing a few new rules. Every night after baths we do a family “pajama walk” around the neighborhood. Now that Caroline is a big sister, she gets to get out of the stroller and walk the last stretch like a big girl…

I also made Caroline a sensory box which is basically a bunch of dried beans and toys in Tupperware that she can explore. She loves her “bean box” which resides in Will’s closet and is reserved for when Mommy has to feed the little guy…

Mommy and Daddy don’t know how we got so lucky but Caroline has actually been sleeping better since Will came along. She’s been napping longer and sleeping later in the mornings…

We are so proud of how Caroline is adjusting to big sisterhood. Will is a very lucky little brother…
